Swiss-O-Matic is pleased to announce that John Bickhart has joined the team to fill the position of Quality Manager. John brings his vast experience as a Mechanical and Quality Engineer to our operation. With a list of impressive certifications in the manufacturing industry, he’s a problem-solving expert with an in-depth knowledge of operating efficiency.
This means Swiss-O-Matic will not only remain at the top of its industry, but John can assist us in achieving new levels of quality and innovation. Swiss-O-Matic will be relying on John to implement additional in-process inspection and develop production scheduling to improve on-time delivery, therefore better serving our customers’ needs.
We expect John to be a significant addition to the team.

Look Back, Look Forward

2009 was a year of hard work, growth, and change at Swiss-O-Matic.
With the addition of the new 1,750 square foot storage building came the opportunity to expand within the production area. The extra storage space allowed for the addition of the much needed new CNC and screw machines.
With the new machines, there is an anticipated 10-15% increased productivity rate for next year. 2009 also brought forth the enhancement of the Secondary Production Area and inspection department, making company growth and increased productivity possible.
Looking ahead to 2010, Swiss-O-Matic is anticipating more growth and diversification. Swiss-O-Matic is proud to be standing strong and moving forward despite the alarming rate of failure among other screw machine shops nationwide, due to the economy. We will be facing the future with determination and increased resources. We will continue to utilize the expanded space, new machines, and larger secondary production area, resulting in decreased turn-around times and increased productivity.

Swiss-O-Matic increases Production Capacity
Swiss-o-Matic is proud to announce that we have recently brought online our newest machine, a Hanwha SL12Se. This machine is capable of running longer parts than its older counterparts. And can run 1/2″ stainless steel.
Because of this, the production in our CNC department has already increased by 10%! This expansion is one of many in the last few months in an effort to increase the overall capability of Swiss-o-matic in a response to a steadly growing customer base.

Swiss-O-Matic has recently expanded!
We are excited to announce, due to increased production levels and demand, additional workspace in our 12,500 sq. ft. building was essential. The construction of our 1,750 sq. ft. storage building was recently completed, allowing for expansion in our current building. This additional square footage will provide us the necessary space to set up new machines as well as reinstate old machines for modern uses. With 40 machines currently used for production and the demand for more to be in use, we are excited about the completion and the ability to put more machines to work.
